Developed with Australian Government Commercial Ready Plus Grant assistance, in conjunction with an Indian Hospital group and having the emerging markets in mind, the low cost ophthalmic product is used to treat diabetic retinopathy.

With 40 million known type 1 and type 2 diabetics in India alone, the early detection and treatment of diabetic retinopathy in the emerging markets is extremely important for patients to reduce their burden on society.  

Ingeneus developed this product from the ground up, showcasing our expertise in the development of multidisciplinary products from idea to practice.  Industrial, mechanical, electronic, software and optical design were among the capabilities required to bring this product to market.  

The product’s transfer to manufacture and clinical trialing is complete with regulatory testing and approvals assured.
